Deeply suspicious of Kennedy and the traditional, conservative Black leadership, many sncc activists fear the march is an effort to co-opt and contain rising Black militancy. But most whites furously defend segregation, flying confederate battle flags trends of labour (economics) from their cars and homes to signify their continuing committment to racism.
